Let me see you get low, you scared, you scared...

And now for something completely different... This is one of my favourite movie scenes: it's Sandra Bullock in The Proposal singing and dancing to Lil Jon's Get Low. It's not my usual music genre preference, but after seeing that, I love this song. Especially in my car. Loud.

Watch the scene below and the original song below that :)

The Edible Art of Cookieboy

"I found a canvas called cookies."
Cookieboy is an artist from Kyoto, who studied textile design, worked on a fashion brand, and then spent some time doing training at a bakery, where he discovered that you can make art that's both beautiful and yummy!

Doodling is a Gateway to Illustration...

This is an ad campaign for the College for Creative Studies in Detroit that parodies anti-drug campaigns. I thought it was pretty clever. Remember, kids, doodling is a gateway to illustration :)

Food Photography by a Patissière

I really enjoy this food photography from photographer and patissière (or pastry chef, in boring old English), Kathreinerle. There's a lot of food photography around these days, and I am a fan of it in general, but I feel like Kathreinerle's has just a little more... personality.

More on her blog (with recipes), and her website.

For the Bloggers...

Ana Degenaar over at Blog Milk created this great poster for fellow bloggers. It really rings true and is nice to be reminded about these things every once in a while. If you're a blogger, make sure you check out her post for the explanation. Very inspiring.

This post by Katrina at Pugly Pixel is also a great read that echoes my feelings about blogging. Lots of people give up on their blogs or don't start because of the perceived rules they impose on themselves. As Katrina's post says, consistency is important - but you decide where your consistency lies. Your blog is YOURS - do it your way, set your own objectives, there are no hard and fast rules :)

Free "Valentines" printable thingy

I'm not a fan of ye olde V Day at all and do not promote it, but I had done this doodle a while ago and just thought I'd share it. If you like it, you can download it (link below image).

Lizzy Stewart's Awesome Illustration

I absolutely LOVE Lizzy Stewart's illustrations! Not just the illustrations, but also the captions in her "sort of diary about doing things in London", which is where these illustrations are from.

This is some of her other awesome work...

Check out more here and here.

Magical Fireflies

I love these images of fireflies in the forest! It really does look so magical and amazing. Imagine standing the middle of that!
Unfortunately I can't tell you much about them, the photographer's site is all in Japanese and even using Google translator I couldn't make much sense of it. Check out more here.
