A while ago I was invited to attend a Durban blogger event hosted by Rain. It was such a lovely, well organised event where we learnt all about their company, products, what they do, why they do it, and how they do it... and I was sold. They've got such an all round wholesome ethos, it's hard not to want all their products!
The event was held at the lovely
Makaranga Garden Lodge in Kloof, with lots of yummy treats to munch on. There was also a lovely lady from
Tsonga who told us all about their locally handmade products and processes, and we even got to try our hand at sewing leather onto shoe soles - it's not easy!
We got some free products to try out that I've been using since, and they're such great quality. I got the Biologie Coconut and Shea Intense Hydration cream, and I can honestly say I've never used anything like it before. I found it actually heals skin in areas where you may have irritation, it gets absorbed so well with no residue and a lovely soft feel. The effect doesn't immediately wash off as easily as others do, either. As you can tell, I'm hooked! I was actually reminded to get my A into G and finally do this post when I realised my samples would run out soon and I need to buy some more.
“Our products are high in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, vitamins and omega 3, 6 and 9, generously formulated for the best results.
As one of the rare Fairly Traded and Beauty Without Cruelty accredited companies in the beauty industry, we consider ourselves to be a company with SOUL – buying with a conscience.”
I definitely won't be going back to normal chain store products in a hurry. Read all about their products on
their site, keep up with them on
Facebook and
shop online or
find a store, visit their store in Durban at Gateway.
Thanks to Rain for hosting such a great event! :)
