Market at the Square - A Fun New Durban Event!

There's a fun new event happening this Friday at Granada Square in Umhlanga, Durban. It's a cool new night market initiated and organised by Kim Walsh, who is an awesome person just by the way!

It promises to be a super cool event, so don't forget to support it. They've even made arrangements in case it's rainy.

Check out the awesome personalised package I got delivered to tell me about it! And although it was superbly done and the cupcake was one of the best I've had in a long time, it wasn't bribery for  this post, haha! I truly believe in supporting local, and especially Durban, events and initiatives. If I'm not mistaken, I think the maker of these amazing cupcakes will be selling her wares there, too.

Nothing like some furry cuteness to start off the week! One of my favourite Instagram accounts at the moment is that of furniture builder, Ariele Alasko. I love her furniture and her unique way with wood, but she also has awesome photography skills and patient pets who allow her to take these fantastic posed shots of them. Aren't they just lovely?

Beautiful and Amazing Paper Craft

How absolutely captivating is this image?  Look at the depth of those dark leaves in the background, the lovely shadows, little subtle skull details here and there, and of course the intricately crafted insect itself. This is the truly skilled and inspiring work of Lobulo Design.

“I realised what I wanted to be when I grew up, while shopping with my mother at the supermarket. I would always make her pick the cereals for the picture on the cover, rather than for what was actually inside.

 Naturally, I ended up studying graphic design and marketing, learning that there's much more to a computer than just playing pacman.”

The I Love Pop Up Shop Wedding Fair is drawing nearer! I'll be sharing some cool wedding invitation inspiration over the next few weeks to get us in wedding mode. Even if you have no reason to be in wedding mode, these designs are just so great to look at!

Peg & Pencil Branding

Yikes, sorry for the blog silence this week, peeps! Hopefully all should be more back to normal from next week. In the meantime I'd like to share a project I just completed recently, the rebranding of creative wedding and event stationery company, Peg & Pencil!

 I was lucky enough to be approached by Kirsty-Ann, the lovely owner and creator behind it all. She had a pretty tight deadline, but a good clear idea of the style she was after so we got it all done perfectly in time! Below are some of the logo options that came up in the process...

And these are some of her lovely, crafty products! Perfect for parties, weddings and gifting...

New Stationery Products - Wedding Stationery and Watercolour Handlettering

Hi peeps! Today I'm just sharing some new products I've been working on. First up is this art print below, which was hand painted by me and is now for sale in my store...

And here are some new wedding stationery themes as part of my ready made stationery sets, which you can find here and here in more detail. If you don't know how that works, check out this post for details. Do remember that text and colour are customisable and you can add on the specific elements that you'll be needing. (i.e. save the date, menu, etc.)
